Financial Analyst
Capitol CREAG is looking for a Financial Analyst in the DC area, working on behalf of a federal agency. Provides very complex analytical and technical support for issue analysis by performing research, preparing reports and developing statistical, financial, and econometric models. Manage acquisition accounting and related service issues. Conduct audits and establish and maintains internal controls in the delivery of sound financial practices. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Participate in rent bill documentation efforts which include file preparation, examination, and “tagging” of specific documents as directed.
- Assist in the month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements.
- Perform detailed financial statement analyses on asset performance.
- Provide expert financial, transactional, and audit documentation support.
- Makes accurate forecasts as to the effect of proposed budget levels on the scope of services.
- Support efforts include working as part of a small or large team, independently, participating in meetings.
- Prepares comprehensive and detailed reports relating to preparation and submission of financial data records of various assets, asset performance, etc.
- Monitors asset financial records, notifies appropriate management personnel of significant variances; takes appropriate corrective action necessary to resolve such variances.
Minimum Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, real estate, finance or related field and 5 years of experience auditing, rent billing and/or analyzing financial data.
- Excellent written and oral skills, strong computer and financial skills
- Ability to work independently and coordinate work of others.
- Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.
